E-Lock releases version 7 of ProSigner, its flagship desktop signature product

Frontier Technologies Corporation (E-Lock) today announced the release of version 7 of ProSigner, its premier digital signature product.

E-Lock ProSigner is an off-the-shelf desktop signature product that enables digital signing from within common business applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, ProSigner supports signing and encryption of files of any format and also supports creation of industry standard PKCS #7 compliant signatures.

The new ProSigner version 7.0 offers a spectrum of new features including Section Signing support in MS Word which enables users to sign different document sections with content changes/additions; A verified Print option through which the document is verified just before printing and the status of the verification is stamped onto the document (tick, cross); Signing/Verification through the Acrobat Reader; In-depth configuration of the layout and content of the Signature block that is inserted into Word and Excel documents; Support for the AES Algorithm for encryption/decryption; The ability to search for users public certificates (for encryption) via LDAP.

Some of ProSigner’s distinguishing features include the ability to associate handwritten/scanned signatures with the digital signature, the ability to create Profiles that store settings/preferences and enable users to quickly move through signing functions, Policies to control the use of signatures across an organization or to mandate/enforce signature sequences and a free verification utility that reduces the cost of ownership.
