August 8, 2007
E-Lock Electronic Signature solution now enables Central Storage of User Credentials
Keeping up with its commitment to provide ease and viability for digital signing, E-Lock has added Central Storage capability to its Electronic Signature solution. The users can now store their Credentials at a central location that can be accessed from anywhere and at any time, thus providing facility to digitally sign from any location without having to carry the Credentials along. The users who are mobile and require signing documents at run time would particularly benefit from this feature.
The E-Lock e-Mark Server centrally stores the Credentials of the users. It does not require any hardware and is easy to manage and deploy. It can be used to store user credentials, graphical images of signatures (handwritten signatures) / logos, user information etc. The server administrator can be assigned the rights to manage and secure large number of User Credentials.
The various benefits of centrally storing Credentials include
It helps the users who are mobile, to sign documents from any location (roaming profile)

It eliminates inconvenience related to storage of credentials on Tokens, Smart Cards etc and carrying these along during travel

It eliminates the risk of theft of Credentials that are insecurely stored on a token or smart card, which can be misplaced by the owner

About e-Mark server:
The E-Lock e-Mark server is a central storage server, (with ProSigner at the client side) where the users can create and store their credentials. The e-Mark Server caters to the creation of a handwritten signature to be used as part of the e-Mark Credential. The e-Mark Credential is PCKS#12 formatted object. The administrator of the Server is able to issue/ approve Credentials that have been registered for and also has the ability to suspend access to these Credentials if need be.
